Extensive measures to combat terrorism, including strong border controls, security and police surveillance, and restrictions on access to some public venues have been put in place by the Singaporean Government.
Piracy
Piracy occurs in and around the waters of Singapore and the Malacca Straits. Mariners are advised to be vigilant and to take appropriate precautionary measures in these waters. For more information view the International Maritime Bureau’s piracy report: www.icc-ccs.org.
