Some things that New Zealanders travelling or living in Greece should be aware of are: 

  • Civil unrest - demonstrations and strikes happen often and can disrupt travel plans.
  • Crime - petty crime such as pickpocketing is common, and assault can happen.
  • Wildfires - forest fires often happen during the summer months. Follow the instructions of local authorities.
