Some things that New Zealanders travelling or living in Taiwan should be aware of are:

Natural disasters and severe weather—earthquakes are common in Taiwan. The typhoon season usually runs from May to November. Make sure you know what to do in a natural disaster or severe weather event.
Local laws—make sure that you get to know the local laws and customs, especially around drugs and medicines.
