On 19 April 2018, King Mswati III announced that Swaziland had officially changed its name to Eswatini.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is not issuing a specific travel advisory for Eswatini at this time.

New Zealanders travelling or living in Eswatini should have comprehensive medical and travel insurance policies in place that include provision for medical evacuation by air.

New Zealanders travelling or living in Eswatini are encouraged to register their details with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
