Exercise increased caution

Overview

There are more significant safety or security concerns than you would usually find in New Zealand. There have been terrorist attacks in the UK, causing deaths and injuries. You can expect to see an increased security presence across the country.

Other things that New Zealanders travelling or living in the UK should be aware of are:

  • Crime - watch out for petty crime, such as theft, especially in urban centres, tourist areas, and on public transport.
  • Civil unrest - demonstrations and protests can disrupt traffic and public transportation.
